Description: County Patrolman Allen was ambushed and shot after placing two suspects under arrest for public intoxication. Patrolman Allen was about to approach another intoxicated suspect when he was shot in the head by a fourth suspect and died at the scene. Two suspects were convicted of voluntary manslaughter.
