Description: Deputy Sheriff Adams was shot after he arrested a suspect on charges of robbery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. After being handcuffed, the suspect produced a pistol from his sleeve and shot Deputy Adams four times. The suspect was shot by a second deputy and taken into custody. Deputy Adams died of his injuries a week later. His assailant was charged with first-degree murder.
