Description: Sheriff Allmaras went to a farm with a court order to retrieve furniture from the residence on behalf of a woman filing for divorce. As Sheriff Allmaras approached the residence, the man began firing with a .22 rifle, striking Sheriff Allmaras three times. Sheriff Allmaras died two days later. The suspect was found guilty of first degree murder and sentenced to life in prison..
