Description: Captain Andreano and Lieutenant William Purdy were responding to a call when their patrol car was struck at an intersection by a vehicle that did not stop at the stop sign. Captain Andreano suffered a skull fracture and died later that day. Lieutenant Purdy, who was driving the patrol car, was not seriously injured. The motorist and passenger of the other car both died.
