Description: Sergeant Aponte was killed in an auto accident while responding to a domestic violence call. Sergeant Aponte's patrol car, Officer Diane Gonzalez's vehicle, and a third party's vehicle collided. Sergeant Aponte was killed by the force of the accident. Officer Gonzalez was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The third party was not injured in the accident (friendly action).
