Description: Patrolman Aleshire and Officer William Wurst of the Hainesport Police Department were shot and killed responding to a "man with a gun" call. The mentally deranged sniper was shooting at schoolchildren. Officer John Holmes was also wounded and paralyzed before succumbing to his injuries 17 years later.
