Description: Constable Andrews was returning home from his vacation when he heard a broadcast on his police radio of a van that was wanted in a hit and run accident. Constable Andrews radioed back to the department that he had just saw the van. The dispatcher asked the Constable to stop the van. Constable Andrews was driving a unmarked car with emergency lights activated. As he exited his car to question suspects, the side door of the van opened. Suspect fired several shots at Constable Andrews knocking him off his feet and killing him instantly. Suspects also fired shots into the constable's car attempting to kill his wife. Although wounded, Constable Andrew's wife managed to call for assistance.
