Description: Marshal Abell was shot by a suspect he was attempting to arrest. Marshal Abell caught the fleeing suspect in the back yard of the residence and ordered the man to come with him to headquarters. The suspect became enraged and shot Marshal Abell once in the stomach. Marshal Abell died several hours later. The suspect was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
