Description: Officer Alderman was shot as he attempted to locate a prisoner who had failed to return to jail. Officer Alderman mistakenly went to the wrong residence and called on the suspect to come outside. Officer Alderman was shot by the homeowner who was alone with her child and thought she was being robbed. Officer Alderman died at the scene.
