Description: Chief Airey responded to a citizen complaint where a small group of people were creating a disturbance and destroying public property on Halloween night. The suspects had been drinking and were attempting pull up a sidewalk. When Chief Airey attempted to prevent the destruction of the sidewalk, his throat was slit. Chief Airey bled to death at the scene.
