Description: Patrolman Ayres was killed in a one car accident while on patrol. His patrol unit hit an obstruction in the road causing it to veer off the road and overturn several times before hitting a tree. The impact of the accident threw his body into the back seat of the car. Patrolman Ayres died from a broken neck and a fractured skull.
