Description: Sheriff Arnold stopped two men near a city park for questioning. One of the men pulled a pistol and shot Sheriff Arnold in his head. Sheriff Arnold died later that afternoon. Both men were convicted of the crime. The shooter was executed in the electric chair and his accomplice received parole after serving 20 years in jail.
