Description: Patrolman Agee was shot with his own gun during a scuffle as he attempted to re-arrest an inmate who had escaped from his patrol car while being transported to a detention center. Patrolman Agee and his partner pursued the suspect on foot. Patrolman Agee was found with a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The inmate was arrested and charged with capital murder.
