Description: Sergeant Ayala succumbed to fatal injuries sustained in a single-vehicle automobile crash while responding to backup a fellow officer at a fight. Sergeant Ayala lost control of his patrol vehicle which left the roadway and struck a tree. Sergeant Ayala was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
