Description: Trooper I Arana was killed in an automobile crash while responding to an officer needs assistance call. Trooper Arana was traveling in his marked patrol vehicle with the emergency lights and sirens activated when his vehicle was struck by a truck that failed to stop at a red light. Trooper Arana's vehicle skidded across several lanes of traffic, hit a light pole, and caught fire. Trooper Arana died at the scene. The driver of the truck involved in the crash was apprehended.
