Description: Sergeant Aguilar died of leukemia after unprotected contact with benzene, a known carcinogen, while conducting drug raids. This period of exposure began from 1989 through January 28, 1998 while working with the narcotics division. Sergeant Aguilar assisted in the seizure of over 25 illegal drug labs which housed hazardous chemicals.
