Description: Deputy Awtrey was shot and killed as he attempted to arrest a suspect for murder. The suspect resisted arrest and fled back into his residence. Deputy Awtrey pursued the suspect who emerged with a shotgun and shot him in the chest. The suspect fled the scene and Deputy Awtrey bled to death.
