Description: Posseman Akin was shot and killed as he attempted to arrest a member of the Piute tribe in Bluff, Utah. Posseman Akin and several U.S. Marshals attempted to move some of the Piute tribesmen to a reservation. Posseman Akin was fatally shot by one of the tribesman wanted for murder.
