Description: Park Ranger Anderson was ambushed and shot while attempting to make a traffic stop in the Mount Rainier National Park in Washington. Ranger Anderson set up a road block to stop the suspect who had avoided a previous checkpoint in the park. The suspect then shot Ranger Anderson. Ranger Anderson died at the scene. The suspect fled on foot into the park and was found dead the next morning due to cold weather conditions.
