Description: Officer Arterberry was accidentally shot when his gun fell from his holster. While in the office seated in a recliner chair, Officer Arterberry's gun fell onto the floor and discharged. The bullet went through the back of the chair and hit him the side, penetrating his liver and one lung. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
