Description: Deputy Arruda and three other deputies responded to the scene of a motel after receiving a shots fired call and were met with gunfire. As the Deputies returned fire killing the suspect, Deputy Arruda was accidentally shot in the neck. Deputy Arruda survived six days before succumbing to his injuries. Friendly Fire.
