Description: Sergeant Agosto Perez was off duty, in civilian clothes, when she heard shots fired. When she went to investigate, she found a young male who had been shot several times. As she cleared crime scene and waited for fellow officers to arrive, family members mistook her for the shooter. She was shot several times with an assault rifle. Seven members of one family were arrested in connection with the murder of Sergeant Agosto Perez. Officers found drugs and illegal weapons when making arrests.
