Description: Trooper Ambrose was killed in an automobile accident while parked on the shoulder of I-87 in Yonkers, New York. Trooper Ambrose had just completed processing a minor traffic accident when his state cruiser was struck from behind. Trooper Ambrose's Ford Crown Victoria burst into flames killing him and the driver who struck him. Further investigation into the accident revealed that the driver that struck Trooper Ambrose was intoxicated.
