Description: Police Officer Arp was fatally wounded when he and a fellow officer went to the home of a suspect to investigate a robbery. Officer Arp knocked on the front door and identified himself as a lawman to the wife of the suspect. The woman responded by shooting Officer Arp in the abdomen with a .38 revolver. Officer Arp was transported to the hospital where he died of his injuries six days later. His assailant was arrested.
