Description: Watchman Applestell was shot while attempting to apprehend burglary suspects in the rail yard located in Auburn, Washington. Watchman Applestell had observed the suspects loading stolen liquor into a vehicle and attempted to arrest them. The suspects opened fire, killing Officer Applestell. Three suspects were arrested and charged with murder.
