Description: Officer Allen, while off-duty at home in Washington D.C., was electrocuted when he picked up a radio wire that had come in contact with a live electrical wire. Officer Allen was alerted by his neighbor that another neighbor was illegally stringing a radio wire. Officer Allen went to the residence and picked up a wire that was on the ground unaware that it was charged. The coroner's jury ruled the death as accidental. The Park Police Superintendent stated that Officer Allen was killed in the line of duty.
