Description: Trooper Antoniewicz was shot during a routine traffic stop on I-80. Trooper Antoniewicz was shot in the chest and back with a .38 handgun when he stopped a speeding motorist. The suspect kicked him repeatedly in the head and drove off. Trooper Antoniewicz died at the scene. Two years later a citizen came forward and identified the suspect. The suspect pled guilty to second-degree murder. The man served 12 years and was paroled.
