Description: Sergeant Blackbird was killed in a single vehicle crash while responding to a disturbance call in Walthill, Nebraska. While driving in heavy fog conditions, his cruiser struck a construction crane and then caught fire. Sergeant Blackbird was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
