Description: Deputy Sheriff Burbridge was shot and killed while he and another deputy transported an inmate back to jail after a court appearance. The inmate was able to disarm one of the deputies and shot them both, killing Deputy Sheriff Burbridge and wounding the second deputy. The inmate then stole the transport van and fled the scene. The inmate was later taken into custody after a pursuit and charged with numerous felonies.
