Description: Detective Barron was killed in a head-on collision while patrolling on Hwy 138 in San Bernardino County. Detective Barron and his partner were conducting an investigation when another vehicle passed a tractor trailer. The suspect vehicle crossed the center line into Detective Barron's lane of traffic and struck the patrol car head-on. Detective Barron was killed instantly and his partner was critically injured but survived.
