Description: Patrolmen Bowline and Ross Darrow were shot and killed in a shootout with an escaped convict and his companion. The two patrolmen were called to the scene of a traffic accident, where they witnessed the suspects attempting to leave the scene. Both patrolmen were shot and killed while attempting to arrest the suspects. One of the suspects was also shot and killed as Patrolman Darrow returned fire.
