Description: Officer Block was searching the premises to investigate a complaint of gambling in progress. It is assumed that he fell ten feet from the ladder on which he had climbed to get a look into the second story of the house. His partner found him lying at the foot of the ladder with a severe injury to his head. Officer Block was taken to the hospital where he died the next morning.
