Description: Agent Bolon was shot when he went to investigate the slayings of six prospectors on the Yakima River. Agent Bolon was attacked and killed by a group of Indians who were believed to be involved in the slayings. Agent Bolon's death marked the beginning of the Yakima Indian War.
