Description: Chief of Police Barfield died of a heart attack while responding to a call for an unknown situation and arrested a suspect for battery. After the arrest, Chief Barfield began to have difficulty breathing and began to cough uncontrollably. Chief Barfield radioed for help and was found unresponsive in his patrol vehicle. Chief Barfield was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
