Description: Deputy Sheriff Bares was shot and killed when he encountered two suspicious suspects while off-duty. Deputy Bares was cutting grass when he observed suspicious activity and called for back-up. Deputy Bares took immediate action when the suspects attempted to flee. Deputy Bares was fatally shot as he approached the suspect's vehicle and identified himself as a law enforcement officer.
