Description: Major Barney was shot and killed while executing a no-knock drug warrant with members of another agency. Major Barney was situated at the exterior of the house when the suspect exited the rear of the house. Upon making contact, the suspect shot Major Barney several times. Major Barney was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The suspect was shot by an officer and succumbed to his injuries several weeks later.
