Description: Supervisor Baskett was struck and killed by a motorized delivery cart while supervising inmates at the Federal Medical Center in Butner, North Carolina. The accident occurred when an inmate placed a box on the floor of the delivery cart and the box fell against the pedal. As the cart sped towards Supervisor Baskett and a visitor, he pushed the woman out of the way and was struck by the cart. Supervisor Baskett was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
