Description: Commander Bauer was shot and killed when he made contact with a suspicious suspect while he attended training in the area. Commander Bauer heard the radio description of a suspicious person observed by tactical officers in the area. Commander Bauer observed the suspect at a government building and attempted to stop him and the suspect opened fire. Commander Bauer was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The suspect was later taken into custody.
