Description: Special Deputy Beasley was shot as he assisted Deputy Sheriff Martin in arresting a suspect and take him into custody. The deputies were approached by the brother of the suspect who demanded his release. When the deputies refused, he pulled a gun and fired. Special Deputy Beasley was struck in the abdomen and died at the scene. Special Deputy Beasley had been deputized to assist Deputy Martin with the arrest.
