Description: Railroad Officers Beisser and Henry Chubb were shot as they attempted to arrest two suspects who were attempting to board the train without payment in the rail yard near Wormleysburg, Pennsylvania. Officer Beisser was shot multiple times and died at the scene. Although Officer Chubb's leg had to be amputated, he recovered from his injuries. Their assailant was convicted of murder and sentenced to death.
