Description: Police Officer Benner was shot and killed while making a traffic stop. Officer Benner initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver and passenger of the vehicle. While running the passenger's name, the passenger fired four rounds, striking Officer Benner in his upper arms and thighs. Officer Benner was transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds. The driver and the passenger were taken into custody.
