Description: Deputy Sheriff Bennett was accidentally shot with his own gun when the gun fell from its holster and discharged. Deputy Bennett and Deputy Frank Sinclair were travelling to a farm to serve a warrant when the accident occurred. Deputy Bennett sustained a gunshot wound to the chest and died at the scene.
