Description: Police Officer Blanford suffered a fatal heart attack after placing an uncooperative suspect under arrest. Officer Blanford was walking to work to report for duty when he observed a disorderly suspect. Officer Blanford attempted to place the suspect under arrest, the suspect was noncompliant and resisted arrest. Officer Blanford escorted the suspect to the station house and placed the suspect in jail. Officer Blanford reported for roll call and collapsed shortly after and died at the scene.
