Description: On May 16, 1930, Special Police Officer Boos was kicked in the ankle while quelling a fight at a dance hall. Officer Boos was transported to the hospital with a compound fracture of the ankle and remained hospitalized until his death due to pneumonia and a pulmonary embolism on June 13th. His assailant was arrested and charged with manslaughter.
