Description: On September 26, 2008, at 8:50 p.m., Lieutenant Bowen responded to related calls in which a horse and rider together were struck by a vehicle and then each were separately struck again by other vehicles. The next day, shortly after 2:00 p.m., Lieutenant Bowen collapsed while working an off-duty department approved security job. Lieutenant Bowen was transported to the hospital where he died the next day due to a stroke.
