Description: Sheriff Buck, Deputy Robert Lum (Panel 43-E: 24) and a second deputy were shot as they attempted to arrest a wanted murder suspect. Deputy Lum died at the scene. Sheriff Buck sustained multiple gunshot wounds as he attempted to enter through the front door of the residence and died of his injuries two days later. The other deputy survived. The suspect was apprehended 34 years later.
