Description: Police Officer Bruce was shot in the abdomen when he and Officer Tom Jones answered a "man with a gun" call. A deranged suspect was holding a rifle under his coat and threatening to find and kill a man. Officer Bruce was shot in the abdomen as he entered the tamale parlor. Officer Bruce was transported to the hospital where he died. His assailant was arrested but committed suicide before he could be questioned.
