Description: Captain Bowman was shot accidentally when he and another officer encountered two men sleeping in a parked car outside a closed gas station. They approached the car and woke the men up. A scuffle occurred between the four men. Captain Bowman's weapon discharged, severing an artery in his leg. Captain Bowman bled to death.
