Description: Police Officer Bower was thrown from his patrol motorcycle as he attempted to stop a speeding motorist. As Officer Bower attempted to turn on 55th Street in pursuit of the motorist, his motorcycle struck the curb and he was thrown to the ground. Officer Bower was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries the next day.
