Description: Deputy Bunton responded to a disturbance call and came upon a drunken man who was cursing and brandishing a weapon. As he attempted to wrestle the weapon away from the man, the gun discharged, striking Deputy Bunton. His assailant was sentenced to six years but the ruling was set aside because the man was suffering from terminal cancer.
